Meet our worship leader, Bruce Jeffers

Bruce Jeffers is an aspiring young worship leader who seeks to glorify God with his gifts and talents in music and song. Bruce has been leading worship in churches, youth groups, and on mission trips for the past four years, including trips to inner-city Philadelphia and the villages of Marsh Harbour in the Bahamas. He still has a lot to learn and strives to continually improve his musical gifts with the Lord's blessing and favor. Bruce is excited and humbled to be the worship leader for this New Orleans team.

Favorite verse: Matthew 6:21 -- "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

In the words of Ty Pennington of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, "Can we do this?" Then let's do it! We will bring love and care and
hope back to New Orleans!!!

The Jeantets

Last summer, Steve and Kim served in NOLA facilitating missions trips with Adventures in Missions. We are so excited to be able to go back and serve. We are privileged to be part of this wonderful team of people God has assembled to be agents of his grace and mercy to this city.

And hey, what a cool way to prepare our son to come into the world than to start teaching him now about God's passion for the lost!

Deb Welch

I'm just a sinner saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ to a life that I do not deserve. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to serve in some small way to bring glory to God and to get to know His people in NOLA.

The Springers

Scott, Ben and Alexis are glad to be going to the still hurricane-ravaged new Orleans area. There are abundant opportunities to minister to the poor, hurting and spiritually need people of this region. each of us is excited with the chance to demonstrate his/her gifts of mercy and compassion. It's been 8 years since Scott's first mission's trip to Jamaica. His oldest two children, Ben and Alexis, will experience their first trip.

John, Dawn, Elaina, Tucker and Marshall Long

Native to Chesapeak City, MD, the Longs (John, Dawn, Elaina, Tucker and Marshall) anticipate the opportunity to serve God as we meet needs in the city of New orleans. Together, we are taking 10 legs, 10 feet, 50 fingers and 5 hearts dedicated to the Lord and the people of New Orleans :)

Bob, Kathryn and Eli Umberger

Our trip to New Orleans is now under 2 weeks away. Please be praying for us as we make final preparations. To help you pray for specifically, we'd like to introduce you to our team. Let's start with the Umbergers...

"We felt called as a couple of missions in 2004 and have enjoyed serving the Lord short term in South America and Africa as well as on the missions committee at GRPC. We are excited to take our son, Eli, to NOLA as we hope to pass on our passion for missions."
